Oxford is well provided with libraries and Jesus College is no exception. The Meyricke Library in Third Quad is a busy, modern, working library, open 24 hours a day. It supports undergraduate study with up-to-date books, many in multiple copies, and the Librarian encourages all students to recommend additions to the collection. The reading rooms offer a variety of comfortable workspaces and generous self-service borrowing is available.
There is wireless internet throughout the Library and an Ethernet point at each desk. Oxford’s significant investment in electronic resources provides unrivalled access to online journals and e-books. For more specialised reading, the vast collections of the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Science Library are within walking distance of the College.
Jesus College’s historic association with Wales is reflected in the Celtic Library, a research-level collection in Celtic languages and culture, including many current journal subscriptions. The Celtic Library is open to students from across the University studying Celtic.
The College is also home to the John Wellingham Organ Studies Library, a specialist collection of organ music available to all current organ scholars.
