Monday: I was in the library by 9 today, as I've got lots of reading to do for an essay. Had a break for a cup of tea in the JCR mid-morning then carried on reading up to lunchtime. Went to the students union in the afternoon as I'm on the committee there so help out in the offices once a week. I wrote some letters there for a volunteering fair I'm organising, then I had a meeting about a charity auction I'm helping to organise. Spent this evening just watching television in my flat, as I was tired from being out all day.
Tuesday: I wrote my essay this morning then went to a lecture. A few of us went to London for the evening for my friend's birthday. We had a meal and saw a show, then got the bus back to Oxford late evening.
Wednesday: Had a sociology lecture at 10 today, then did some shopping and a bit of reading before my tutorial at 2:30. The tutorial went well today, it was an interesting topic so I had lots to say on it, and I got my essay back from last week. Started the reading for my next essay that's due on Friday, and then ordered some food from Tesco online. It saves having to carry heavy shopping bags that way!
Thursday: This morning I had a meeting of the students union committee, and then spent most of the day reading books and writing my essay, as it's due in tomorrow. Thursday tends to be a bit hectic workwise as I always have a deadline on a Friday. Manage to get the essay done by late afternoon though so I can have a relaxing evening.
Friday: My tutorial this morning went well. I have two tutorials a week, one politics, and one philosophy. I went clothes shopping this afternoon and got some books out of the library. I gave myself the afternoon off reading today, as I've no deadline till next week. Tonight I worked in the college bar, it was very busy in there but good fun, and it earns me a bit of money.
Saturday: This morning I went round some shops in Oxford asking for donations for things for the charity auction. All the shops were really good and happy to donate things. This evening it was the college dinner dance - an annual event held at The Randolph hotel. We had a drinks reception in college then a meal and salsa music in the hotel. It was a really good night.
Sunday: I slept in this morning then did some laundry before getting started on my reading for next week's work.
