Dr Teresa Tomás Rangil
Academic Background
Teresa Tomás is a historian interested in economic, political and development ideas in the twentieth century.
She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics and sociology at the Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan, France.
In 2010, Teresa finished her PhD dissertation on the history of economics at the University of Paris X-Nanterre.
After completion of her dissertation, she spent one year in the US as a junior research fellow at the Center for the History of Political Economy of Duke University.
In January 2012 Teresa joined the Oxford History Department as a postdoctoral research fellow to work on the project “War, Peace and Poverty in the Twentieth Century.”

History of economic and political development with a special interest in Sub-Saharan Africa
History of international organizations
Political economy, game theory
Other Interests
Teresa enjoys drawing, writing, visiting science museums and watching history documentaries.
