Academic Background
I studied medicine at the University of Sheffield and then undertook post graduate training both in Sheffield and then in Bristol before moving to Oxford to study for a DPhil in Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics at the University of Oxford. I teach surgery to clinical medical students and am involved in access courses run by the University for sixth-form students.
Undergraduate Teaching
General surgery including: gastrointestinal surgery, vascular surgery, breast and endocrine surgery.
Postgraduate Teaching
Exam preparation for the MRCS. Basic surgical skills.
Research Interests
Connective tissue changes in patients with rectal prolapse.
Hobbies and Family
Married with one young son.
