Campus MovieFest UK

Jesus College student Charlie Hooper has won the award for Best Actor at Campus MovieFest UK for his performance in the title role in the film "Thom".

"Thom" was directed, photographed and edited by Jess Park from Keble College. Jack Raeder from Jesus was in charge of production, lighting and casting, and Jess and Jack co-wrote the film. Jesus English fresher, Amelia Sparling, played the role of Rachel. In addition to the Best Actor award, the film ranked in the top 10 of all entries.

Campus MovieFest is the world's largest student film festival but this is the first year it has been extended to the UK. Over 400 films were submitted involving 5000 participants. The awards ceremony was held at at the Harold Pinter Theatre, Leicester Square, on 4th December.
