We are delighted to announce that general booking is now open for our first event of the new academic year, One Hundred Years of PPE: a discussion. This virtual event marks one hundred years since the University of Oxford began offering Philosophy, Politics and Economics as a degree subject.

At this event, our distinguished panel will consider the evolution of the degree over the course of its history, examine how well the individual subjects sit alongside each other, and discuss how today's PPE graduates can contribute to the society of the future. There will also be time for questions from the audience, following the panel discussion.

Our Panel:

Dr Anita Avramides, Southover Manor Trust Tutorial Fellow in Philosophy, St Hilda’s College, and Reader in Philosophy of Mind, University of Oxford

Dr Udit Bhatia (Chair), Junior Research Fellow in Politics

Sir Ed Davey MP (1985, PPE), Leader of the Liberal Democrats

Professor Stefan Dercon, Professorial Fellow, Jesus College, and Professor of Economic Policy and Director of the Centre for the Study of African Economies, University of Oxford

Dr Stuart White, Fellow and Tutor in Politics, Associate Professor of Politics, Jesus College
