Three teams from the University of Oxford competed in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Collegiate Northwestern European Regional Contest (NWERC) in Eindhoven on 25 November.

In this contest, teams of up to three students are asked to solve as many programming problems as possible from a given problem set, using only one computer and within the five-hour limit. Submitted solutions are checked by an automated judging system. Around 120 teams took part in the context in the Northwestern European Regional Contest.

Alex Tatomir was part of the team Los Patrons, which achieved second place, a gold medal, and as the only Oxford team qualified for the World Finals in Porto, Portugal, in April 2019. Congratulations and best of luck in the Porto!
