Academic background
In 2024 I was awarded a Bennett Junior Research Fellowship in Applied Health Data Science where I will be investigating health inequalities in migrants using the OpenSAFELY platform. Prior to this, I spent three years at University College London (UCL) at the Institute of Health Informatics, where I explored the impact of COVID-19 on migrants in the UK and the influence of deregulated urban planning on health. Alongside my research, I held an analyst role at the Department of Health and Social Care in the Inclusion Health team, where I led the technical development of a system that brings together data on socially excluded groups, including vulnerable migrants. My academic qualifications comprise a Master of Pharmacy (2011) and a PhD in Pharmacy (2017), both of which were awarded by the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Health Data Analytics (2023) from UCL.
