Roles and subjects

Lecturer in History

Academic Background

I received my BA (2015) and MPhil (2017) from the University of Oxford. I am currently completing a DPhil in early modern history.

Undergraduate Teaching

I teach the various outline courses for early modern Britain (HBI4) and Europe (EWP3/6) and the Further Subject ‘Literature and Politics in Early Modern England’.

Research Interests

I work on early modern humanism, particularly the impact of Desiderius Erasmus (d.1536) on European scholarship. Much of my research focuses on the history of the book and reading more generally.

‘Richard Pace and the Psalms’, The Journal of Ecclesiastical History, 73:1 (2022), pp. 57-78.

‘Jerome’s Journey: William Warham and the dedication copy of Erasmus’ Edition of Jerome (1516)’, New College Notes, 9 (2019).
