Who we are and what we do

Jesus College is one of the 38 constituent colleges of the University of Oxford.  It was founded in 1571 by Elizabeth I at the request of a Welsh Lawyer and Clergyman, Hugh Price. The first female undergraduates were admitted in 1974.  You can learn more about the College’s history on this website.

Jesus College is located on Turl Street in the heart of the city.  You can download directions to Jesus College and find a map showing its location.

The College is regulated by the Charities Commission.
