Jesus College Oxford invites applications for a fixed-term three-hour Stipendiary Lecturership in Computer Science from 1 October 2023 until 30 September 2024.  The successful candidate will provide College tutorials in Functional Programming and Imperative Programming. In addition, the lecturer will be expected to set and mark College examinations, to participate in the routine administration of Computer Science, and to assist in the pastoral care of undergraduates reading the subject.

Candidates should have a strong educational background, with a good first degree in Computer Science and should be close to completion of or have obtained a doctorate in Computer Science. Some teaching experience would be an advantage.

The salary for the post is on a scale from £7,191 – £8,087 per annum (in 2022-23 terms, reviewed annually), depending on qualifications and experience, and membership of USS is offered. The lecturer may take a certain number of lunches and dinners free of charge during weeks 0 to 9 of each term.  A research allowance and teaching book allowance are also offered, as well as access to a teaching room.
