The Edwyn Charles Hart Memorial Fund was set up using a bequest from Dorothy Iris Beaumanoir-Hart. It provides prizes to undergraduates where the College does not have a subject-specific prize.

The Prize is awarded annually in Trinity Term. It is given to a student who has produced meritorious work in a course where the principal subject is one where the college does not have a subject-specific prize. It is awarded in recognition of progress and diligence as well as achievement.

The tutors in the relevant subjects make recommendations to the Principal and Academic Director, who then make a recommendation to the College Governing Body.

The value of the Prize is determined by Governing Body and takes the form of books chosen by the prize-winner and approved by the relevant subject tutor.
