The Fernando Fervenza Prize Fund was set up using money provided by Dr Fernando Fervenza, of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, to establish a prize in memory of Dr Geoffrey Rushworth, former Medical Tutor of the College, who died in 2000.
The Prize is awarded annually in Trinity Term on the recommendation of the Tutors in Medicine. The Prize shall be awarded to support a medical student during a clinical elective.
Governing Body determines the value of the prize. Usually it is in the order of £125 and takes the form of cash.
