The Jesus-St Peter's Symphony Orchestra is one of Oxford's most promising ensembles. Formed in the autumn of 2001, the orchestra was created with the intention of making possible convincing performances of repertoire normally unwise for college groups to attempt because of inadequate numbers. The members of the orchestra have covered a broad selection of repertoire ranging from Bach to Vaughan Williams and the larger forces made available by the recent merger will allow this breadth of choice to grow.
