The Academic Office deals with all of the College’s academic administration – covering undergraduates, postgraduates, and Fellows and lecturers – and is led by the Academic Director. The team of six staff looks after every aspect of a student’s academic career during their time at Jesus, from admissions, welfare and bursaries to academic prizes, graduate dinners and Collections.
The Academic Office is also home to the College’s Access and Outreach team, which manages a wide-reaching, academically-led programme of activities for prospective undergraduate Oxford applicants in its areas of responsibility; Wales and South London.

The Estates Bursar (Cait Winter) has overall responsibility for the College’s finances and is supported by the Accountant (Melinda Mattu), who heads the Accounts Department.
The Accounts team ensures an efficient accounts processing and bookkeeping function spanning from sales, purchases, banking to payroll processing. Its function contributes to the College’s operational and planning processes by providing good quality and timely financial information. It also ensures that the College remains financially compliant with the requirements of government and other linked institutions in relation to VAT, Tax and other accounting matters.

The Accommodation, Catering and Conferences (DACC) team supports the domestic needs of members of the College in all areas of catering, accommodation, housekeeping and events. The DACC is responsible for the Health and Safety requirements of the College and oversees the College’s varied sports provision through the Amalgamated Clubs Committee.

The Development Office has the dual responsibility of maintaining the College’s relationship with its 5000+ alumni, and fundraising in support of the College’s on-going activities. Our Libraries
The main library at Jesus College is the Meyricke Library, open to all current members of College. Our older printed books are housed in the historic Fellows’ Library, open by appointment. Enquiries about our medieval manuscripts should be directed to the Bodleian Libraries, where they are on deposit.
In addition, there is a specialist Celtic Library, open to students from across the University studying Celtic, and the John Wellingham Organ Studies Library, available to all current organ scholars in Oxford.

Our Archives
The College Archives hold a large collection of documents, photographs, and printed papers, beginning with Elizabeth I’s foundation charter in 1571, which constitute a rich and unique resource for the study of the people, decisions, traditions and events that have contributed to the development of the College we know today.

The Archives of Jesus College are usually open, by appointment only, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.00-1.00 and 2.00-4.30.
The Lodge is the hub of Jesus College life; it is responsible for staffing the College’s main reception desk, and providing advice, assistance and support to all students, staff, Fellows and visitors. The Lodge ensures that College remains a safe and secure environment for all its members.

It is managed by the Lodge Manager, who oversees a team of Lodge Receptionists.

The Property Director, David Mason, and his team are responsible for all property (land and buildings) held within the College Endowment; all maintenance and projects relating to the College Buildings, the gardens and sports facilities.

The Principal’s Office is responsible for supporting the Principal in all aspects of his College, University, and external work and commitments. The Office provides secretarial and administrative support to the College’s Governing Body, as well as a number of other College committees. In addition, the Office holds and maintains Fellowship data and records, including that of all College Posts and Committees, it provides support and assistance for Fellows, administers new Fellowship appointments and organises internal College events.
