Academic Background

Sam completed his medical training at King’s College London in 2006. He trained as a junior doctor in London and Oxford and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2009. He is now a Cardiology Specialist Registrar on the Oxford rotation and is undertaking higher subspecialty training as an interventional cardiologist.

Undergraduate Teaching

Sam teaches clinical medicine to final year medical students.

Postgraduate Teaching

Sam teaches clinical cardiology to junior doctors and runs specialist courses in cardiac physiology and coronary imaging.

Research Interests

His research interests include microRNA release in acute myocardial infarction and intracoronary imaging and physiology. He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Clinical Research Fellowship in February 2013.

Other Interests

In his spare time, Sam enjoys running, cycling, rowing and yoga.
