Academic Background

Following his MA and MPhil at King’s College, Cambridge as a choral scholar, Toby moved to Oxford for his DPhil in music and philosophy, studying with Profs Eric Clarke, Roger Scruton and Robert Saxton. Since then he has held the inaugural Gianturco Junior Fellowship at Linacre College alongside an active career as a composer and songwriter, writing for artists such as the London Symphony Orchestra, the Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Chase & Status and Ellie Goulding.
