On Friday 23rd February Jesus College and Trinity College will be co-hosting a 'Women in Science' day.  It will be a day crammed full of science lectures and seminars, led by top academics. Our goal is to encourage more young women into STEM degrees. Any year 12 pupil who identifies wholly or partially as feminine or transfeminine, or any other gender minority (such as: non-binary, trans, genderqueer, a-gender) who are currently studying science A-levels is welcome to sign-up to this event. Everything is free, including lunch in two of the university's beautiful old colleges -- Jesus and Trinity. Besides academic enrichment, participants will meet current undergraduates who will share their experiences and tips for making competitive applications.

The day runs from 10:30am-3:30pm. Applications will open on 19th January and close on 5th February. We'll aim to get back to everyone by 9th February. There are 80 places available. To apply, please click on the following link. It will take no more than ten minutes to apply:

Students are welcome to travel to Oxford individually, or in school groups. There is some money available to reimburse travel costs for those with particularly long or expensive journeys. The number of places your school will receive is dependent on the amount of interest the event and your school type. You will be notified as to if your school has been given places at the event/how many places you have been allocated In the event that we are over-subscribed, there will be a cap of no more than five individuals from each school. Teachers are welcome, but not expected nor required to attend. If you are a teacher that would like to attend, do please contact us via email (matthew.williams@jesus.ox.ac.uk).
