ESI Next Gen, the premier UK event for professionals, academics, students, and enthusiasts interested in the integration of video games and esports in education, is back for its second edition in March 2024, and in a new collaboration with the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub, the event is coming to the University of Oxford for the first time.
We are delighted to announce that the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub is to host the Institute for Ethics in AI’s Annual Lecture 2023, which will be given by Professor Alondra Nelson, Harold F. Linder Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, and a distinguished senior fellow at the Centre for American Progress.
The Creative Machine Symposium, a prestigious showcase of the latest creative and research applications of artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality and robotics, is coming to the University of Oxford for the first time this year.
Creative Machine Oxford has been developed by Goldsmiths, University of London, in partnership with Jesus College Oxford, and will be held in the College’s new Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub on Tuesday 30th May 2023. The one-day event is generously supported by The Alan Turing Institute.

‘A History of Gaming’, the latest event in the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub events programme. explores the wide-reaching influence of video gaming in our lives, and includes the opportunity to play a range of consoles and games from the 1970s to the present day.
