Academic Background

I completed my undergraduate in BA Geography at Keble College Oxford from 2019-2022.

I’m now completing my DPhil in the School of Geography and the Environment.

Undergraduate Teaching

I teach climate content on the BA Geography course, including the Climatology section of Prelims Earth System Processes and Remote Sensing for Geographical Techniques. I also teach climate change topics for the FHS Earth Systems Dynamics paper.

Research Interests

My research focuses on understanding the controlling dynamics of the onset of the summer rains over southern Africa (Angola, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique).

I work with latest generation model data such as the ERA-5 reanalysis, routine observational data and observations from a recent field campaign in northern Zambia to tease apart process that control onset timing. The work aims to increase onset predictability and confidence in future change.

Other Interests

Fieldwork, travelling, and rowing (I currently row for Keble M1).
