Research Interests
I am passionate about solving global inequality. I believe that one of the most important ways to address societal inequality is by creating access to good, safe, and well-paid jobs or opportunities for entrepreneurial endeavours. This is especially relevant in contexts where labor markets do not work efficiently or transparently such as in low- and middle-income countries. In my research, I look at national or organisational policies that address these challenges through experimental and qualitative methods grounded in theories of economics and management. I look at diverse segments of populations such as low-wage workers in the garments supply chains, university graduates, and migrant workers.
Hobbies
I started running for the first time during my final year at university and discovered that I love the slow and steady pace of long distance running. I have completed the New York, Chicago, and Berlin marathons and many half-marathons, including my favourite – the Oxford half!
In the spirit of slowness, I find great peace in spending hours in the darkroom – dodging, burning, and printing. I am still looking for a place in Oxford to continue this passion.
