Academic and Professional Background
BA (Connecticut College, New London, CT USA)
I served as Oxford University’s Director of Alumni Relations from 2011 – 2023 and was proud to also be a member of the Jesus College community as a Hugh Price Fellow. My role as Director of Alumni Relations included supporting links between alumni of the collegiate University and Oxford through a robust offering of events, benefits, services and communications vehicles. The University has over 350,000 known alumni, including more than 44,000 in 188 countries outside the UK. There is an extensive alumni network in the UK and abroad, with more than 180 active alumni groups and associations. Key alumni events include the Meeting Minds Weekend in Oxford, and regular large-scale alumni events in North America, Asia, and Europe, along with regular digital events.
Before arriving at Oxford, I had over 20 years of experience in alumni relations at Harvard Business School (HBS). For seven years before moving to the UK, I headed up External Relations at HBS, overseeing the School’s alumni outreach and fundraising activities. Prior to joining HBS, I worked at the Harvard Art Museums, where I spent ten years in membership, development, special events, and public education activities.
I volunteer regularly for CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), act as a consultant with The Philanthropy Company, serve as a Trustee with the British Friends of Harvard Business School and as a mentor with Charity Mentors of Oxfordshire.
