About JEN
The Jesus Entrepreneur Network (JEN) is a fast-growing professional network committed to sharing expertise, advice, and skills with Jesus students, fellow alumni, and friends of the College. Founded in 2015, JEN began with its flagship student mentoring scheme for the annual All-Innovate competition in partnership with the Oxford Foundry. Members of the network coached the 2019 All-Innovate competition winners, beating 21 other Oxford colleges in the process. In the summer of 2020, JEN members shared advice on interviewing, CV preparation, and mentoring over three online courses for current Jesus students and young alumni.
The network has since grown to include Jesus associate alumni from Saïd Business School and we are delighted to expand our reach to include a more diverse and global alumni community. The Jesus Entrepreneur Network welcomes anyone who has an interest in entrepreneurship and student mentoring to consider joining this valuable group. Membership encourages:
Knowledge Exchange
Provide consulting, scale-up support, and exchange industry advice with other alumni entrepreneurs. Offer mentoring and shadowing opportunities or offering paid internships for Jesus students and young alumni.
Building Connections
Recruit young talent or senior team members. Seek advice or opportunities for raising finance or investment.
Networking Events
Offer to participate in talks, workshops, or discussions for Jesus students and alumni. Facilitate JEN gatherings by lending a venue or conference space for an event.
Testimonials
“Working with fellow Jesus entrepreneurs has been a most stimulating experience, but most rewarding has been the interactions with our current students who have a vision, ideas, and drive and it is a joy to see many of them achieve early success.”
Brad Wilson (1967, BA Geography)
Chairman, Founder, and Investor at EnViva Care Ltd
JEN Ambassador and Founding Member
“It has been genuinely rewarding to connect with people at the early stages of their careers through the JEN network. The people I have met have been determined, thoughtful and dynamic and it’s been a pleasure discussing how they can build upon their ideas and ambition, and doing my small part to help where I can. ”
Emma Huepfl (1989, BA English)
Managing Director of CBRE GI Credit Strategies
JEN Ambassador and Founding Member
“Thank you for putting on this series of talks, and in particular the zoom interview session! Taking forward notes I made during the session to interview I was able to secure a Training Contract at Linklaters last week. It was really useful to read through some of the key talking points to guide my preparation ad settle nerves before the interview itself!”
Hector Thornton-Swan (2018, BA Jurisprudence)
“…The workshop was great and was super informative!!!! Thank you so much for organising this!”
Mingfang (Lucy) Zhang (2018, BA Experimental Psychology),
