Dr Roxana Radu elected Chair of Global Internet Governance Academic Network

Dr Roxana Radu, a Supernumerary Fellow at Jesus College and Departmental Lecturer in Technology and Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, has been elected as the new Chair of the Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet).

GigaNet is an international association of academic researchers in internet governance, founded in 2006 to establish internet governance as a field of study, and support multidisciplinary scholarship in the field. Members include researchers from a wide range of disciplines and locations who are contributing to research, teaching, and engagement in local, regional, and international debates on internet governance worldwide.

Roxana’s research focuses on the governance of digital technologies and internet-related policymaking. She is the author of the monograph ‘Negotiating Internet Governance’ (Oxford University Press, 2019), inspired by her work with the diplomatic community in Geneva, Switzerland. She joined the Steering Committee of GigaNet in 2020 as the Program Committee Chair.
