Academic Background
I studied medicine at Brasenose College and Green Templeton College, Oxford graduating in 2021. I achieved an MBA whilst sitting my medical school finals. I have continued my postgraduate training in Oxford as an Academic Foundation Doctor and subsequently an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Haematology. I am studying a part-time Masters in Genomic Medicine at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge alongside my current clinical role. I gained an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in 2023. I was awarded the Kathleen Lavidge Bursary to study pandemic viruses at Stanford University in 2016.
Undergraduates Teaching Areas
I teach clinical medical students at Jesus College.
Research Interests
My research interests have been varied, comprising a human challenge model of Typhoid fever, the development of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, several systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and genetic ethics. During my Academic Clinical Fellowship, I am working with Dr Sarah Gooding to use multi-omic approaches to understand molecular drivers and therapeutic targets in Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer originating in the cells that make antibodies.
Hobbies
I am a qualified trampolining gymnastics coach and can do a double-back somersault!
