Background

I graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge University with a degree in Philosophy and joined the National Audit Office (NAO) graduate programme from there. I spent five years at the NAO, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant while working across financial audit and value for money teams and enjoying a secondment into parliament to work as a Committee Specialist for the Treasury Select Committee.

From the NAO, I joined the Disaster Emergency Committee, before moving to a criminal justice charity, Working Chance, where I took on my first Operations Director/COO position. I have subsequently worked as the Operations Director at Liberty, the human rights organisation, and then most recently as the Finance & Operations Director at the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust.

I am interested in how organisations function as human communities bound together within physical and other structures.

Role of the Estates Bursar

Here at Jesus I am responsible for strategic financial management and planning including the stewardship of our endowment. My role also includes responsibilities for IT and risk management. As a Fellow and Trustee, I am closely engaged in the governance of College, serving on a number of committees including the Estates Committee, Risk & Audit Committee, Property Committee, Hardship Committee and Statutes & Governance Committee.
