Research Interests
Ross’s DPhil project developed methods to use social media data in disaster response operations such as hurricanes and bushfires. He is currently building out software which integrates his algorithm with existing emergency systems in preparation for the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season and is using similar methods to document evidence of war crimes in Ukraine for the United Nations Human Rights Council.
