Jesus College, Oxford invites applications for a fixed-term 6-hour Stipendiary Lecturership in Economics from 1 October 2024 until 30 September 2025. The successful candidate will provide College tutorials in Economics. In addition, the lecturer will be expected to set and mark College examinations, to participate in the routine administration of Economics, and to assist in the pastoral care of undergraduates reading the subject.

Candidates should have a strong educational background, with a good first degree in Economics and should be close to completion of or have obtained a doctorate in Economics. Some teaching experience would be an advantage. The salary for the post is on a scale from £15,244 – £16,983 per annum (in 2023-24 terms, reviewed annually), depending on qualifications and experience, and membership of USS is offered. The lecturer may take a certain number of lunches and dinners free of charge during weeks 0 to 9 of each term.  A research allowance and teaching book allowance are also offered, as well as access to a teaching room.

The closing date is noon on 03 May 2024 and it is expected that interviews will take place on 22 May 2024.
