The College invites applications for 10 non-stipendiary Research Associates in the Medical Sciences, tenable from 1 October 2024 for a fixed term of at least two years and a maximum of three.

These positions are intended for Early Career Researchers who have secured a postdoctoral research position at the University of Oxford but who do not have a college association.

Research Associates are expected to engage in the academic life of the College and to contribute to research and researcher development activities for postgraduates and other Early Career Researchers. This could include, for example, participation in seminars, career talks or postgraduate dinners. They are also expected to act as College Advisor to a small number of postgraduate students in medicine or a related field.

Candidates should have been awarded a doctorate in Medicine or a related field since 1 September 2019, unless a career break has been taken (e.g. for family reasons). They should have a strong educational background and a record of publications appropriate to career stage. Expressions of interest should outline how you meet the criteria of appointment, including how you envisage contributing to the research culture of the College, particularly in relation to postgraduate and ECR scholars.
