Jesus College Shakespeare Project to take next production to Solihull

13 December 2023

We are delighted to announce that fresh from the success of its sold out production of Richard III last month, the Jesus College Shakespeare Project’s next production –Titus Andronicus – will be one of the centrepiece events of the inaugural Solihull School Shakespeare Festival on Saturday 16 March 2024.

The Festival is aimed at young people of all educational backgrounds from across Solihull and the West Midlands region, and will include lectures and workshops by eminent Shakespeare scholars across the day, as well as drama workshops, before concluding with a concert of music inspired by Shakespeare performed by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and an ‘in conversation’ event with actor Dame Eileen Atkins.

Titus Andronicus will be the eighth production of the Jesus College Shakespeare Project – a collaboration between the College’s Access and Development Teams with the aim to produce the Complete Works of Shakespeare by 2034 to audiences of schoolchildren and college alumni, as well as wider audiences. Its Oxford performances will take place in College on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 February and tickets go on sale in the new year.
